Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Christina Vanderlinden Chapa
I am the assistant principal at Lamar Elementary School in charge of the About Face Program. This is my third year with Elementary & Middle School DAEP / JJAEP programs, and my 22nd year as an educator in EPISD.
Before moving into educational administration, I was a literacy coach for many years. I have also taught Pre-K, 2nd grade, 5th grade, and music throughout my career.
In 1994 I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with degrees in Individual and Family Studies (Child Development), Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education. During my four years at Concordia, I also studied music (voice) and was fortunate to have the opportunity to sing in some amazing choirs. In 2011 I graduated from UTEP with my MEd, a master's degree in Educational Administration & PK-12 Leadership. Someday I would like to be a principal. I would also like to teach college to students who want to become teachers!
I am looking forward to another excellent year working with children, parents, and teachers at our new location, Lamar.
